Who is Keynote Speaker Mike Koprowski?

Mike Koprowski is the National Campaign Director for Opportunity Starts at Home, a national, long-term, multi-sector campaign to meet the housing needs of the low-income people in America.

Opportunity Starts at Home works to mobilize stakeholders from the sectors of education, health, anti-poverty, faith-based, civil rights, and child-welfare – sectors that have increasingly recognized the impact the inability to afford decent housing has on the well-being of the people they serve

The campaign is a partnership between the National Low Income Housing Coalition  the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Children’s HealthWatch, the National Alliance to End Homelessness, Catholic Charities USA, the Children’s Defense Fund, Community Catalyst, the Food Research and Action Center, NAACP, National Alliance on Mental Illness, the National Association of Community Health Centers, the National Association of Social Workers, the National Education Association, the National League of Cities and UnidosUS.

Prior to coming to Opportunity Starts at Home, Mike was the Executive Director of Opportunity Dallas, an organization focused on building local coalitions to promote greater economic mobility by tackling concentrated poverty and segregation through housing policy.
