During the last week of January, dozens of outreach teams, service providers, advocates, and community volunteers helped conduct surveys and provide care bags to people experiencing homelessness throughout the state. The annual PIT Count is not possible without a dedicated community-wide effort and hard work of our local partners, providers, and more. See more photos from the 2024 PIT here

Finding a Safe Place to Call Home: The Connection between Domestic Violence & Housing

The DE CoC partnered with the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCADV) to host their annual DV Safety Training on 3/14/24. This training provided an overview of the dynamics and prevalence of DV in DE, how DV effects people experiencing homelessness and housing instability, and ways to support survivor safety and empowerment. Attendees explored challenges and opportunities with serving survivors, how trauma factors into policies and practices, and available national and local survivor resources.
